Ideas For Cooking Garlic Scapes

Barbeque Garlic Scapes and Potatoes
Cut seed pods off one end of scape. Chop scape into one inch pieces. Chop potatoes into one inch chunks. Toss potatoes and scapes with olive oil, enough to coat, and with salt and freshly ground pepper. Wrap individual servings in foil and place on the barbeque. Should take 30-45 min. at med-low heat.

Steamed Garlic Scapes
Cut seed head off scape, chop scape into one inch pieces. Steam for 2-3 min. Toss with olive oil and salt and freshly ground pepper.

*serve steamed scapes with peanut sauce

*try steamed scapes with yogurt or mayo dip

*steam scapes along with broccoli and serve with a cheese sauce

* Do not eat raw unless you’re very brave, or you really like garlic!
